The sights and sounds of Malaga
Situated on southern Spain's Mediterranean coast, the Costa del Sol stretches 300 km from Nerja to La Linea, and includes the popular city of Malaga. There are lots of towns and villages to discover, all catering for a variety of tastes, whether you want an action-packed tourist resort holiday or a quiet break in the sun.
Torremolinos
Torremolinos is well worth a visit as part of a driving holiday along Spain's Mediterranean coast, and it only takes around 15 minutes to drive there from Malaga Airport.
Spanning a 7km stretch of coastline, the Paseo Maritimo in Torremolinos is one of the longest promenades in the world, and links the city's six main beaches: Playa de Bajondillo, Playamar, Los Alamos, Montemar, La Carihuela and El Saltillo.
Fuengirola
With over five miles of beaches, and an architecture combining an Arab past with the modern trappings of a thriving Spanish seaside resort, Fuengirola is an ideal stop off point for rest, entertainment and relaxation as part of a hire car holiday on the Costa del Sol. Fuengirola is just a short hop west from Torremolinos and takes about half an hour to drive to from Malaga Airport.
